About the Series Welcome to the comprehensive database for the world of Rodinia! Current Story: A Place Beyond The Light: Smoke of Revolution The story follows Asep Muhammad Ridwan, a former street brawler and ex-convict from Bandung, Indonesia, who is suddenly transmigrated to the fantasy Kingdom of Ardenia. Unlike traditional "Otherworlder" heroes summoned by the Church, Asep receives no divine powers, no holy authority, and zero plot armor. What he does possess is a complete lack of native Lumite in his blood, making him an anomaly, and a desperate craving for a good cigarette. Joining the Castalia Mercenary Company under the leadership of Zachary Valente, Asep is thrust into a brutal, multi-front regional war. As the Albion Empire invades and the horrific Eclipse Cult rises from the shadows, Asep partners with the exiled prodigy sorceress and alchemist Treste Comte Mordeau to trigger a premature industrial revolution and military complex by introducing internal combustion engines, vehicular combat, and guided rockets to a world where magic and swords still rule the battlefield. Story Arcs & Volumes Volume 1: Truth, Cry, and Lie Asep arrives in Ardenia, meets the Castalia members (Stark, Karl, and Bob), and becomes entangled in the political conspiracy and subsequent riots in Merlesia. Volume 2: Fragile Peace The Children of The Eclipse gained control of Roake Mines and began spreading terror in the region. The Coalition of the Unwilling is formed. Castalia formed coalition with militias and unsavory people like bandits to fight them, breaches the lawless mining city of Roake to dismantle the Eclipse Cult. Volume 3: Don't Put Off Till Tomorrow What You Can Do Today The arrival of Albion's delegation for peace talks ended up in declaration of war. Full-scale war erupts. The Albion Empire deploys the Iron Thorned Knights and the devastating Wyvern-carrying HMS Sky Sovereign. To survive and to even the playing field, Asep and Treste develop countermeasures against Albion and fundamentally changing the face of warfare on the continent.
